Ammon News - Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission referred 15 employees from the Ministry of Finance to the Public Prosecutor on Sunday.
According to the commission, four of the employees committed criminal offenses involving participation in felony embezzlement, forgery, abuse of authority, and misuse of public funds, while others were charged with misdemeanors related to negligence in performing their official duties.
Investigations conducted by the commission revealed that the employees embezzled approximately 417,000 Jordanian dinars during 2025. They allegedly used multiple methods to carry out the scheme, including forging payment documents and supporting paperwork, creating fake invoices, repeatedly processing the same invoices more than once, and manipulating invoice values.
A senior official at the commission said that financial audits for previous years are currently underway.
