12-05-2026 08:13 AM

Ammon News - A gradual easing in temperatures is expected over the coming days, although moderate to relatively hot conditions will continue across much of the country through Friday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Tuesday is bringing a slight rise in temperatures, with moderate conditions prevailing across the highlands and plains, while relatively hot to hot weather dominates the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High clouds are expected intermittently, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may become active at times and raise dust, particularly in desert areas.

Temperatures are forecast to dip slightly on Wednesday, returning to around seasonal averages for this time of year. Moderate weather will continue across most regions, while relatively hot conditions persist in low-lying and desert areas. Westerly winds are expected to remain moderate and become active at intervals, stirring dust in exposed Badia regions.

Similar conditions are expected on Thursday, with moderate weather prevailing across most areas and relatively hot conditions continuing in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Medium- and high-level clouds are forecast, while northwesterly winds remain moderate and occasionally active, raising dust at times in desert regions.

A further slight decline in temperatures is forecast for Friday, bringing pleasant conditions to the highlands and plains and milder weather across the Badia and low-lying areas. Medium- and high-level clouds will continue to appear, while northwesterly winds strengthen to moderate and occasionally active speeds.

Temperature ranges on Tuesday reflect the prevailing warm pattern, with East Amman forecast between 31 C and 17 C, and West Amman between 29 C and 15 C. Northern highlands will record 26 C to 15 C, while the Sharah highlands range between 27 C and 14 C.
