Ammon News - The Drivers and Motor Vehicles Licensing Department announced that citizens have benefited by nearly half a million Jordanian dinars under the government’s incentive scheme for drivers aimed at improving road safety, with more than 21,000 vehicles benefiting since March 26, 2026.

Under the scheme, the government grants a 25% discount on full annual vehicle licensing fees to compliant drivers who have committed no traffic violations for a full year with their vehicles.

The department urged drivers to maintain and improve road safety standards in order to benefit from the incentives and insurance fee reductions, avoid traffic violations, and comply with traffic laws. It added that beneficiary rates during the first month reflected a high level of compliance among many drivers, encouraging expectations for increased participation in the future.
