Ammon News - Preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) on Monday indicated that total remittances from workers in the Kingdom increased by 12.7% during the first two months of 2026, reaching $740.1 million.
Remittances from the Kingdom also rose by 11.9%, reaching $307.5 million.
Remittances from the United Arab Emirates ranked first among total remittances to the Kingdom, accounting for 22.7%, followed by Saudi Arabia (19.0%), then the United States (18.3%), and Qatar (9.0%). As for outgoing remittances, Egypt was the primary destination, representing 39.0%, followed by Bangladesh (12.6%), and then the Philippines (4.8%), according to the data.
