Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan received on Monday the Finnish President, Dr. Alexander Stubb, at the Prime Ministry, where they affirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and expanding cooperation between them, especially in the economic, investment, education and technology fields.
Hassan pointed out to Jordan's keenness to develop its relations with Finland bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union, noting that the Jordanian-European Investment Conference, which will be held in Jordan during the last quarter of this year, represents an important opportunity to enhance economic and trade cooperation with the countries of the European Union.
For his part, the Finnish President expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s role in the region, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, noting at the same time that Jordan has great areas for cooperation that Finland looks forward to developing and investing in.
The meeting also addressed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Minister Sami Smeirat, Jordan’s non-resident ambassador to Finland Fayez Khoury and Finland’s non-resident ambassador to Jordan Anni Miskanen, attended the meeting.
