Ammon News - A cooler air pattern is dominating conditions on Monday, with temperatures falling below seasonal averages before a gradual warming trend sets in from Tuesday through Thursday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.

Temperatures are running about 5–6 C below normal levels, bringing relatively cool conditions to most regions, while warmer weather persists in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low cloud cover is present, with a limited chance of light showers in parts of the north and central regions. Winds are westerly, ranging from moderate to active, with gusts likely to raise dust, particularly in Badia areas.

The Meteorological Department warned of reduced visibility during the early morning hours due to fog over high mountainous areas and parts of the plains. It also cautioned that dust stirred by active winds may further limit visibility in desert regions, alongside the risk of slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall.

A gradual shift begins on Tuesday, with a slight rise in temperatures bringing mild conditions across most regions, while low-lying areas remain warmer. Some low clouds are expected, with northwesterly winds blowing at moderate speeds and becoming active at times.

The warming trend is expected to continue on Wednesday, with temperatures edging higher and generally mild conditions prevailing across most regions, while warmer weather continues in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly by evening, remaining moderate.

By Thursday, temperatures are forecast to rise further, ushering in spring-like conditions across the highlands and plains, with warmer weather across the rest of the country. Winds will be southeasterly and moderate.

Temperature ranges on Monday reflect the cooler pattern, with East Amman forecast between 19 C and 9 C, and West Amman between 17 C and 7 C. Northern highlands will record 14 C to 4 C, while the Sharah highlands range between 16 C and 5 C.
