Ammon News - Hard-right Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir on Sunday morning stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound accompanied by a group of colonists, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.

During the incursion, the colonists performed Talmudic prayers inside the courtyards of the mosque in a provocative act aimed at imposing a new reality at the site and consolidating temporal and spatial division of the holy site.

The Jerusalem Governorate said the raid comes amid a continued escalation of violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, alongside ongoing restrictions imposed on worshippers’ access to the mosque.
