Ammon News - French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday welcomed the ceasefire between Iran and the United States.

In remarks during a defense meeting with his government, Macron stressed that the situation in Lebanon remains critical and called for the agreement to include Lebanon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu office said Israel supports United States President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks, noting that the ceasefire does not include Lebanon.

It added that Israel backs the United States move on condition that Tehran immediately reopens the Strait of Hormuz and halts attacks against the United States, Israel, and countries in the region.
