Ammon News - A new wave of dust is expected to affect the Kingdom in the coming hours, with its impact continuing until Sunday morning, according to meteorologist Mohammad Al-Khaldi from the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
He explained that this wave is renewing as it extends from the coasts of Egypt and Libya across the Mediterranean Sea, leading to dusty conditions across various regions.
He added that Saturday’s weather will be dusty and relatively cold in most areas, while relatively warm conditions will prevail in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, with northwesterly winds ranging from moderate to active. Cold conditions are expected during the night.
He noted that temperatures in the capital, Amman, will reach around 17°C during the day and drop to 6°C at night, with relatively cold weather continuing over the coming days, along with chances of scattered rain showers in the northern and central regions.
The JMD warned in its report of reduced horizontal visibility due to suspended dust in many areas. It urged people with respiratory conditions to follow health guidelines and avoid going outside unless necessary, and advised drivers to exercise extreme caution and maintain safe distances on the roads.
Conditions are expected to gradually stabilize by midweek, with a gradual rise in temperatures.
