Ammon News - A general strike was observed Wednesday across the occupied West Bank governorates, including occupied Jerusalem, in response to a call from the Fatah movement and other national and Islamic forces, in protest against the Israeli Knesset's approval of the death penalty law for Palestinian prisoners.

Fatah called for a broad Palestinian mobilization, as well as intensified Arab and international efforts to pressure for the repeal of this law and to hold the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.

The movement affirmed that the legislation would not break the will of the Palestinian people or their prisoners, but rather will strengthen their determination to continue the struggle for their freedom and legitimate rights.
