Ammon News - US President Donald Trump claimed Iranian negotiators were "begging" for a deal, rejecting Tehran's public stance that it is only reviewing Washington's proposal.
"They better get serious soon, before it is too late, because once that happens, there is NO TURNING BACK, and it won't be pretty," he said in a Truth Social post.
In another post, Trump also said that members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization have done “absolutely nothing” to help the U.S. in its military campaign against Iran, adding to his recent criticism of the military alliance of which America is a part. U.S. allies have said they weren’t consulted before the U.S. and Israel began striking Iran in late February, and some have criticized the Trump administration over a lack of clarity on its war aims, although several have allowed the U.S. to use their military bases in the conflict.
“NATO nations have done absolutely nothing to help,” Trump wrote in the all-caps message on Truth Social. He said the U.S., which “needs nothing from NATO,” wouldn’t forget “this very important point in time.”
