Transport Minister, Car Rental Syndicate hold productive talks to support sector

Ammon News - The Syndicate of Tourist Car Rental Offices Owner held a constructive meeting with Minister of Transport Nidal Qatamin to enhance cooperation and support the tourist car rental sector.

The meeting was attended by Marwan Akoubah, President of the Syndicate of Car Rental Office Owners, along with Hamed Awad, representing the rental sector. Discussions focused on strengthening public-private partnership and addressing the challenges facing tourist car rental businesses amid current economic conditions.

Qatamin expressed his understanding of the sector's challenges, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to supporting the private sector and enhancing cooperation, reaffirming the ministry’s readiness to back the tourist car rental industry to ensure its sustainability and development, given its key role in supporting both the tourism and transport sectors in Jordan.

For his part, Akoubah highlighted the importance of the meeting in fostering constructive dialogue with government entities, praising the Ministry of Transport’s openness to the syndicate’s proposals aimed at sustaining business operations and preserving this vital sector.

Awad also commended the minister’s engagement with industry concerns, stressing the importance of continued coordination between the public and private sectors to overcome current challenges and achieve a more stable business environment.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the syndicate honored Qatamin in recognition of his efforts to support the sector and strengthen public-private partnership, reflecting mutual appreciation and cooperation.
