Ammon News - The Israeli military said that its troops had begun "limited" ground operations against what it described as Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon in recent days to bolster forward defences.
In a statement, the Israeli military said: "In recent days, 91st Division forces have begun focused ground activity targeting key objectives in southern Lebanon to expand the forward defense zone."
The statement indicated that this operation is part of the effort to establish the forward defense, which includes the destruction of armed infrastructures and the elimination of fighters operating in the area, in order to remove threats and create an additional layer of security for the residents of the north.
The IDF will continue to act forcefully against the Hezbollah terror organization, which decided to join the campaign and operate under the auspices of the Iranian terror regime, and will not allow harm to the civilians of the State of Israel.
