Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi confirmed on Wednesday that no Israeli diplomats are present in Jordan since the outbreak of the war on the Gaza Strip.
Responding to MP Saleh Al-Armouti, who called for a government stance regarding the Israeli embassy in Amman, Safadi said that Jordan had previously informed Israel that its ambassador would not return until the Israeli aggression against Gaza and the West Bank ceases.
He emphasized that Jordan’s positions are clear and unchanging, expressing surprise at Al-Armouti’s claim that there has been no Jordanian stance on Israeli attacks.
Safadi further stated that Jordan firmly confronts all actions by the Israeli occupation and has clearly communicated to Israel that Jordanian airspace must not be violated.
