Ammon News - The Public Security Directorate’s spokesperson on Sunday clarified the circumstances surrounding the run-over incident involving a Public Security officer in Jerash a few days ago.

The spokesperson said that police operations in Jerash received a report about a vehicle drifting recklessly in the city, during which the driver ran over a juvenile. A security patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival and while attempting to apprehend the driver, the suspect deliberately ran over a Warrant Officer.

The injured Warrant Officer was transported to the King Hussein Medical Center, where his condition was described as moderate.

All parties involved have been arrested, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
