Ammon News - The Kingdom will be affected on Wednesday by a cold and humid air mass, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures. The effects of the low-pressure system and rainfall will begin in the afternoon.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said heavy rain is expected across the northern and central regions and will continue into the evening, with the Kingdom remaining under the influence of the cold, rainy conditions until Thursday afternoon.
Rain chances will rise in the north and center, with limited showers also possible in parts of the eastern and southwestern areas. Strong westerly winds may lift dust, lowering horizontal visibility, particularly in desert regions and along desert highways.
The JMD cautioned about the risk of flash flooding in valleys and low-lying areas in the north and center, poor visibility due to dust and fog—especially in desert areas and on major roads—strong winds and gusts, and slippery roads in areas affected by rainfall.
