Ammon News - Media spokesperson of Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that the Anti-Narcotics Department, through its daily efforts to pursue all cases of drug trafficking, distribution, and smuggling, has dealt with a number of significant cases in recent days. These include two cases involving individuals linked to regional drug smuggling and trafficking gangs, in addition to seven other cases in the capital involving drug dealers and distributors.

The spokesperson explained that the first case fell within the jurisdiction of the Ruwaished Brigade, where a special investigation team monitored and tracked an individual suspected of dealing with regional drug smuggling and trafficking gangs. After confirming all information and the individual's possession of large quantities of drugs and their hiding place, a raid was conducted, resulting in his arrest.

Authorities seized 120,000 narcotic pills, two firearms, and specialized devices for tracking locations and communicating with regional gangs.

In the second case in Madaba Governorate, officers from the department followed up on information regarding two individuals and their connection to regional drug trafficking gangs. As a result, they were found in possession of large quantities of narcotics. After verifying all the information, they were arrested in a raid, and 50 slabs of hashish and half a kilogram of cocaine were seized.

The media spokesperson added that, as part of ongoing efforts to combat all forms of drug trafficking and distribution, six significant cases were handled in the capital during the past period, in addition to one case in Aqaba.

In the first case in Amman, a drug dealer was raided and arrested. He was found in possession of 20 slabs of hashish, 1 kilogram of crystal meth, and a quantity of cocaine. In the second case, another drug dealer was arrested with 16 slabs of hashish, quantities of marijuana, and crystal meth.

In the third case, a dealer was arrested after a raid and 12 packets of hashish were seized from him. In the last three cases, 4 drug dealers were arrested and 17 packets of hashish were seized from them. In the last case in Aqaba Governorate, 10 packets of hashish were seized from a drug dealer after a raid.
