Ammon News - The Eastern Military Zone Early Saturday morning thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics within its area of ​​responsibility. The drugs were being transported via balloons guided by sophisticated electronic devices.

Border Guard units, in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), detected the balloons and intercepted them, bringing them and their cargo down within Jordanian territory.

The seized items were transferred to the relevant authorities for further action.
