Ammon News - An Israeli military spokesperson reported on Saturday morning that an attempted armed attack occurred near the security fence near the Hashmonaim checkpoint in the Ramallah area.

According to the Hebrew-language newspaper Ynet, the spokesperson explained that a person fired shots toward the security fence before fleeing the scene. He noted that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

He added that a large number of army forces were deployed to the area and launched an extensive search operation to locate the shooter, while simultaneously imposing a security cordon around several nearby villages.
