The Jordan Meteorological Department has issued warnings of reduced visibility during the morning hours due to fog affecting high mountain areas and parts of the plains. The Department also cautioned against the formation of frost and freezing conditions during the early morning hours, particularly over high mountain elevations and parts of the desert.
Cold weather is forecast to continue on Friday in most regions, with milder conditions persisting in lower-lying areas. Low cloud cover is expected, and northwesterly winds may become active at times, especially in eastern parts of the country.
A slight increase in temperatures is expected on Saturday, though cold conditions will remain dominant across most regions, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba continue to experience milder weather. Winds will shift to easterly and remain moderate. Another modest rise in temperatures is forecast for Sunday, bringing relatively cold conditions to most regions and comparatively warmer weather to the lower areas, with high clouds appearing at intervals and moderate southeasterly winds.
Thursday’s temperatures range between 13 C and 4 C in East Amman and 11 C and 2 C in West Amman. The northern highlands are forecast at 11 C–2 C, the Sharah highlands at 8 C–1 C, desert regions at 15 C–4 C, and the plains at 14 C–5 C.
