Ammon News - The Lower House will vote Thursday on the draft public budget law for the 2026 fiscal year, in accordance with the constitution.
Speaker of the Lower House, Mazen Qadi, announced at the adjournment of Wednesday's session that the vote on the budget would take place on Thursday, urging members not to be absent from the voting session.
The Minister of Finance usually delivers a speech before the budget vote, responding to the speeches and comments of the members of parliament, after which parliament moves to the stage of voting on the bill item by item.
After the bill is approved, the Finance Committee in the Senate will begin discussing the "2026 Budget" and submit its recommendations to the Senate for approval, and then it will be endorsed by the Royal Will and published in the Official Gazette.
