Ammon News - Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, accompanied by former Prime Minister Dr. Abdul Raouf Rawabdeh, Chairman of the Irbid Reconstruction Council, visited the Irbid Comprehensive Secondary School for Boys, one of the oldest schools in Jordan, on Sunday.
Hassan directed that a comprehensive expansion and maintenance project be undertaken, including the upgrading of its laboratories, taking into account its historical and cultural significance.
The Prime Minister also inspected the Umm Qais archaeological site and directed the maintenance and rehabilitation of the museum, and the acceleration of the implementation of the plan to restore the heritage village, which contributes to enhancing the site’s presence on the Jordanian tourist map, and preserving its great historical and tourist value, considering that Umm Qais is one of the best tourist villages in the world that was chosen by the World Tourism Organization years ago.
