'WICKED The Musical' Extended in Riyadh Due to Popular Demand

Ammon News - The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), in collaboration with Broadway Entertainment Group (BEG), announced on Tuesday the extension of the global phenomenon “WICKED The Musical” in Riyadh - its first performance in the Middle East - following tremendous demand.

The production will begin performances on December 3 and will now continue for an additional two weeks until January 3, 2026. The extension gives even more fans the opportunity to experience this world-class production live at the King Fahad Cultural Center.

Since its debut in 2003, WICKED has become one of the most beloved and successful musicals ever staged, captivating over 65 million people across more than 130 cities in 25 countries. Its powerful storytelling is brought to life through an unforgettable score that continues to resonate with audiences around the world.

From the playful favorite “Popular,” to the soaring anthem “Defying Gravity,” and the heartfelt “For Good,” every song captures a different emotion and moment of transformation. Composed by the legendary Stephen Schwartz, the music of WICKED has become iconic, blending humor, heart, and hope into one of the most memorable soundtracks in modern musical theatre.

Audiences in Riyadh are eagerly anticipating the show's dazzling performances, breathtaking sets, and more than 350 stunning costumes, all brought to life by a cast and crew of over 100 people. The response has been extraordinary, with sold-out nights and exceptional demands for additional tickets.
