Ammon News - The initial planning conference for the Eager Lion 2026 military exercise concluded Thursday with the participation of officers from the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) and representatives from partner and friendly countries.
The JAF Director of Military Training said the conference was marked by a spirit of dedication, teamwork, and professionalism, underscoring that continued cooperation among participating forces will enhance the outcomes of the upcoming exercise.
The Deputy Commander of Maneuver of the 42nd Infantry Division said the exercise reflects the strength of partnerships and the shared commitment to promoting regional peace and stability. He noted that the scope of the exercise continues to expand with each edition, building trust and professionalism among participants.
Eager Lion aims to exchange military expertise, strengthen coordination among forces, and enhance collective readiness to address regional and global security challenges. It remains one of the Kingdom’s largest multilateral military exercises.
Held annually in Jordan since 2011, Eager Lion brings together land, air, and naval forces, alongside institutions involved in crisis management, ministries, and security agencies, as well as forces from friendly nations.
