Ammon News - Egyptian driver Karim Hani claimed victory in the third and final round of the Jordan Drift Championship, held over the weekend at the Dead Sea Circuit.

Driving a BMW E46, Hani delivered a dominant performance to take first place, ahead of Jordan’s Raafat Haroun, who finished second in a Toyota GT86. Fellow Jordanian Abdullah Hamadeh secured third place in a BMW E92, while Moayad Yousef, also driving a Toyota GT86, placed fourth, a result that secured him the overall 2025 championship title, according to the Jordan news agency, Petra.

The event, held on Thursday and Friday, brought together 35 competitors from Jordan, Palestine, and Egypt, highlighting the growing popularity of drift racing across the region.

The atmosphere at the Dead Sea circuit was electric, as spectators witnessed high-stakes battles and precision driving that kept them on the edge of their seats. From the qualifying rounds onward, competition was fierce, with 24 drivers advancing from Thursday's heats into the final showdown on Friday, the statement said.

Among the finalists were top talents including Hani, Hamadeh, Yousef, Haroun, and Palestinian contender Suhail Asbah. In the Round of 16, Hamadeh defeated Saeed Saleh, Thaer Jaafari overcame Diaa AlQawasmeh, Haroun outperformed Egypt’s Ramzy Ramzy, and Mohammad Shuqeir edged out Al Asbah.

Moayad Yousef beat Ammar Habahbeh, Ghaith Abu Ta’ah topped Yasser Helou, Anas Helou eliminated Fouad Zash, and Karim Hani advanced by defeating Qais Shannak.

The quarterfinals brought even more intensity, as Hamadeh took down Jaafari, Haroun beat Shuqeir, Yousef outpaced Abu Ta’ah, and Hani eliminated Helou. In the semifinals, Haroun secured a close win over Hamadeh, while Hani triumphed over Yousef to set up a high-stakes final.

In the championship round, Hani sealed a well-earned victory to take the top spot on the podium, with Haroun finishing runner-up. Hamadeh claimed third place after defeating Yousef in the third-place playoff.

Despite missing out on a podium finish in the final round, Yousef’s consistent performance throughout the season earned him the overall 2025 championship title, Petra said.
