King meets with Arab, Muslim leaders in Doha

Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah II in Doha on Monday met with Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, Lebanon President Gen. Joseph Aoun, Kuwait Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The meetings, held on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, touched on the importance of maintaining coordination between Arab and Muslim states on regional developments, and the need to step up efforts to achieve stability in the region, preserve the security of states, and guarantee their sovereignty.

The meetings also covered the Israeli aggression on Qatar, with the leaders expressing their condemnation of this aggression and their solidarity with Qatar, as well as their support for its efforts to maintain its security, stability and sovereignty.

His Majesty called for putting a stop to the war on Gaza and ensuring the unimpeded flow of sufficient humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip, and reiterated Jordan’s firm rejection of Israeli plans to displace Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, and annex land.

The meetings also covered the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and these countries, as well as Jordan’s readiness to expand cooperation with them across various fields.

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meetings.
