Ammon News - Israeli occupation forces intensified their restrictions early Sunday morning at the entrances to the towns of Ein Siniya and Atara, two of the several main roads leading to the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Israeli soldiers closed the two iron gates installed at the main entrances to Atara, effectively blocking access of vehicles to and from villages and towns north of Ramallah.

At the same time, a military checkpoint was set up at the main entrance to Ein Siniya, also north of Ramallah, where soldiers conducted random vehicle searches, causing significant traffic congestion in the area.

Israeli occupation forces frequently impose restrictions on Palestinian movement through the use of roadblocks, gates, and checkpoints. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the number of permanent and temporary Israeli barriers across the West Bank has reached 898, including military checkpoints and metal gates.
