03-09-2025 10:30 AM

Ammon News - Jordan’s national boxing team held its first training session Tuesday in Liverpool, England, ahead of the World Championships, which open Thursday at the M&S Bank Arena.

Head coach Dagoberto of Cuba said a recent training camp in Spain provided valuable preparation and allowed the squad to sharpen key techniques. He added that team morale is high as the boxers look to showcase Jordan’s progress on the international stage.

Jordan will be represented by seven fighters: Huthaifa Eishaish (50kg), Youssef Eishaish (55kg), Mohammad Abu Jajeh (60kg), Obada Al-Kasbah (65kg), Ziad Eishaish (70kg), Mohammad Al-Hussein (75kg) and Hussein Eishaish (80kg).

At the last edition of the championships, Abu Jajeh secured a historic bronze medal for Jordan.
