Ammon News - The Jordan–Saudi Business Forum kicks off on Wednesday in Amman, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Federation of Saudi Chambers, bringing together key stakeholders from a wide range of economic sectors.

The forum aims to explore investment opportunities, initiate joint ventures, and enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two nations. Strategic sectors under focus include energy, tourism, information technology, food security, logistics, and infrastructure.

Throughout the day, Jordanian and Saudi business leaders will hold bilateral meetings, designed to foster collaboration, strengthen institutional ties between the two countries’ chambers of commerce, and facilitate knowledge exchange to improve the business environment and boost the competitiveness of the private sector.

A high-level Saudi delegation, headed by Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, will participate, alongside officials from Saudi ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Investment, and the General Authority for Trade.

According to the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the forum will also see participation from Jordanian and Saudi companies spanning a wide array of industries, including trade, industry, agriculture, education, healthcare, technology, cybersecurity, financial and legal services, green economy initiatives, and marketing.

Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the event’s strategic importance, calling it "a pivotal platform for building a shared economic vision between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, based on economic integration rather than competition, to drive sustainable mutual growth."

He emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains a strategic economic partner for Jordan, noting the countries’ deep-rooted and dynamic relations. "This forum marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation, one that will strengthen bilateral ties and elevate the economic standing of both nations in the region," Al-Haj Tawfiq added.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Jordanian–Saudi Joint Business Council will convene, bringing together leading investors and business figures from both countries. The council serves as a key institutional framework for promoting cross-border investments, facilitating trade exchange, and fostering an environment conducive to joint economic initiatives.

Al-Haj Tawfiq, who chairs the Jordanian side of the council, stressed the importance of enhanced communication channels, regular economic visits, and targeted business activities to identify future projects and sign memorandums of understanding.

His Saudi counterpart, Abdul Rahman Hassan Al-Thubaity, reaffirmed the council’s mission to strengthen trade and investment cooperation, aligning with the private sector’s vision for deeper regional integration.
