01-09-2025 09:21 PM

Ammon News - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday visited the Hassan Khaled Abu Al Huda Comprehensive Secondary School for Boys in Zarqa, to check on the situation of one of the oldest vocational schools in Jordan, established in 1974.

His Majesty directed to look into the needs of the school and to enhance its facilities and workshops, in line with efforts to advance vocational education.

The King, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, toured the school’s workshops and was briefed by the principal on the school’s methods for implementing vocational education and training programmes, in areas such as carpentry, automotive mechanics, air conditioning, and refrigeration.

His Majesty greeted students and teachers, wishing them success in the new academic year.

The school employs the internationally-recognised British Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) system, which offers career-focused, vocational qualifications and certifications that combine practical skill-based learning with theoretical education to develop students’ skills and prepare them for the job market.

The school is built on a total area of 35 dunums, which houses buildings, workshops, and laboratories.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Azmi Mahafzah accompanied His Majesty on the visit.
