Education Minister addresses teachers, students ahead of new school year

24-08-2025 08:10 AM

Ammon News - Education Minister Azmi Mahafzah on Saturday delivered a message to teachers and students as the new school year begins.

Mahafzah said the academic year starts "drawing determination and ambition from the visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II, whose firm belief is that human capital is our greatest asset and education is the fastest path to development and progress."

He emphasized that teachers are the cornerstone of a successful and impactful educational system, describing them as "bearers of the mission and agents of change."

Mahafzah added that the ministry has confidence in students and their abilities to learn, innovate, solve problems, and contribute actively to nation-building.

He also highlighted the ministry’s push toward digital transformation as a strategic necessity, noting that curricula have been fully digitized and a comprehensive national educational platform is in development. The ministry is also completing school infrastructure upgrades to ensure technology enhances learning rather than replacing its core, preparing students for the future with the tools and language of the digital age.
