Russia offers 1,500 scholarships to Jordan

Ammon News - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced on Wednesday that Russia will grant 1,500 scholarships to Jordanians.

During a press conference in Moscow with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Lavrov expressed his country's desire to develop economic and trade cooperation with Jordan, stressing the need to strengthen bilateral relations.

Lavrov said that the Russian-Jordanian Higher Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation plays an important role in strengthening bilateral trade cooperation.

The next session of its 7th meeting will be held in Moscow before the end of 2025, chaired by Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, Lavrov added.
