Ammon News - Secretary General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) Hussein Shibli, said on Tuesday that settlers' attacks on Jordanian aid trucks bound for Gaza are part of an effort to obstruct the entry of aid to the people of the Gaza Strip, amid the ongoing war that began on October 7, 2023.
The settlers' attack on Jordanian trucks on Monday did not result in any human casualties, but did cause material damage to some trucks heading to the Gaza Strip, Shibli added.
The Jordanian aid convoy arrived in the Gaza Strip on Monday despite the attack, Shibli pointed out, noting that the attacks will not deter Jordan from sending more aid trucks to the people of the Strip.
In addition, Shibli stressed that the JHCO is prepared to send hundreds of trucks of aid to Gaza daily if the security of its entry and distribution is facilitated.
Dozens of Jordanian trucks carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip were attacked by extremist Israeli settlers, causing material damage to several of the trucks.
