Normal summer weather to persist in highlands and plains

Ammon News - Weather conditions on Tuesday will remain typical for the summer season, with moderate temperatures expected over the highlands and plains, while hotter conditions will prevail across the desert regions, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate and westerly, becoming active at times.

According to the Meteorological Department, a slight increase in temperatures is expected on Wednesday. The forecast indicates relatively hot weather across most regions, with high temperatures continuing in the desert areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds are expected to remain moderate and westerly, occasionally picking up in desert regions.

The same conditions are likely to persist through Thursday and Friday, with relatively hot weather across most areas and hotter conditions in the eastern and southern parts of the country. Winds will shift to a northwesterly direction while maintaining moderate speeds.

Maximum and minimum temperatures on today are expected to range between 34 C and 23 C in East Amman, and 32 C and 21 C in West Amman. In the northern highlands, temperatures will vary between 28 C and 16 C, while in the Sharah highlands, they are forecast between 29 C and 17 C. Desert regions will see higher readings, from 39 C to 22 C, and the plains will register between 33 C and 22 C.

In the Jordan Valley, temperatures will range from 39 C to 24 C in the north and from 41 C to 29 C in the south. At the Dead Sea, temperatures are expected to range between 40 C and 26 C, while the Gulf of Aqaba will record highs of 41 C and lows of 28 C. Petra
