Ammon News - Interior Minister Mazen Faraya directed the need to address all complaints and observations related to services provided at the King Hussein Bridge and the mechanism of the electronic passenger booking platform.
On Sunday morning, the Minister inspected the King Hussein Bridge and reviewed the progress of operations there and the facilities and services provided to travelers to and from Jordan, according to ministry spokesperson Abdul Karim Abu Dalo.
Faraya has taken a series of decisions aimed at improving services provided to travelers and regulating all aspects related to the electronic platform's operation, the most important of these decisions include limiting the number of tickets sold per person and modifying the VIP system to be electronic, instead of requiring reservations at the ticket window at the bridge, the spokesperson said according to Al-Mamlaka.
The decisions will help resolve the issues, and that travelers will notice a fundamental difference in the handling and procedures followed at the King Hussein Bridge starting Sunday, Abu Dalo added, confirming that the Minister has directed the relevant agencies at the bridge to immediately address all travelers' complaints and comments about the platform.
Abu Dalo explained that the ministry will work to determine the number of tickets sold via the platform per person, and will direct Jett, the passenger transport company operating the platform, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, to include a set of instructions and guidelines on tickets related to flight schedules and passenger arrival times.
In addition, he indicated that passengers arriving hours before their scheduled departure time causes congestion on the bridge, urging passengers to arrive just half an hour before their departure time to avoid having to wait too long or causing traffic jams on the bridge.
He called on travelers to buy tickets from reliable sources to avoid being exploited by their prices.
