Ammon News - Senate President Faisal Fayez met on Tuesday with Japanese Ambassador, Hideki Asari, to discuss ways to strengthen Jordanian-Japanese relations across various fields, particularly parliamentary, economic, and investment cooperation, in the best interest of both countries and their peoples.

During the meeting, Fayez highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Japan and Jordan’s commitment to further developing and building on these relations by encouraging more economic and investment partnerships.

He also expressed appreciation for Japan’s support in helping Jordan address the economic challenges brought about by the current regional circumstances.

The two sides also discussed the situation in the region and the importance of restoring security and stability and ending cycles of violence and conflict.

Fayez outlined the significant efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and to promote a just peace in the region.

He reiterated the King’s call for the international community to intensify efforts to deliver sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to Gaza and to work towards creating a political horizon for a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, enabling the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate rights.

Asari affirmed the strength and depth of Jordanian-Japanese relations and both sides’ commitment to further developing ties and expanding economic and investment cooperation to serve their shared interests.

He also commended the major efforts led by King Abdullah II to advance peace and security in the region and his ongoing efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip. Petra
