Ammon News - A four-story residential building collapsed on Baghdad Street in Irbid Governorate at dawn on Tuesday.

Irbid Governor Radwan Al-Atoum said that the four-story building, which was evacuated by the relevant authorities on Monday, collapsed at dawn on Tuesday, noting that the National Building Council had recommended demolishing the building due to its structural hazards.

The competent authorities had evacuated the entire building on Monday evening as a precautionary measure after detecting serious cracks in its structure, Al-Atoum added, explaining that the building collapsed without causing any human casualties, due to the rapid pre-evacuation by the Civil Defense Directorate and Irbid Police, who evacuated a neighboring house to ensure the safety of residents.
