Under Jordanian law, a patent is defined as any innovative idea conceived by an inventor in any field of technology, relating to a product, a production method, or both, which provides a solution to a specific problem.
Registering a patent involves all procedures related to patent applications, starting with guiding inventors on how to file an application and concluding with the issuance of the final patent certificate. These procedures include technical and formal reviews to ensure compliance with legal requirements, as well as related processes that meet the needs of third parties, such as publication in the Official Gazette and public access to records.
A trademark, by legal definition, is any visible sign used or intended to be used by an individual or entity to distinguish their goods, products, or services from those of others. Petra
