29-06-2025 08:20 AM

Ammon News - The heatwave that recently gripped the Kingdom is gradually easing on Sunday with a modest drop in temperatures. The weather will feel warm to moderately hot in the highlands and plains, while the desert regions, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to experience higher heat levels. A refreshing northwesterly breeze is expected to pick up at times during the afternoon.

The Jordan Meteorological Department reported that temperatures will edge down slightly on Monday, maintaining relatively warm conditions across most areas, and remaining hot in the desert and low-lying regions. Winds will continue to blow from the northwest, occasionally becoming brisk.

By Tuesday, temperatures will dip a bit more, ushering in the return of typical summer weather for most of the country, though the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will stay on the hotter side. Northwesterly winds are expected to stay moderate, with occasional activity.

Wednesday’s weather will also remain typical of summer across most regions, with hot conditions persisting in the desert areas, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be moderate northwest, becoming active occasionally during the afternoon.
