Jordanian airspace reopens after temporary closure

22-06-2025 09:15 AM

Ammon News - Captain Haitham Misto, the Chief Commissioner of the Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), confirmed on Sunday that airspace was temporary closed Sunday morning and subsequently reopened.

Air traffic is now normal, Misto added according to Al-Mamlaka.

The Israeli Airports Authority announced on Sunday morning the closure of Israeli airspace until further notice "due to the latest developments" following the US overnight airstrike on Iran.

U.S. forces struck Iran's three main nuclear sites, President Donald Trump said late on Saturday, and he warned Tehran it would face more devastating attacks if it does not agree to peace.

"The strikes were a spectacular military success," Trump said in a televised address. "Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated."

Trump said U.S. forces struck Iran's three principal nuclear sites: Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow.
