The total number of bounced checks in May reached 13,900, of which 66.5% were returned for financial reasons, worth JD61.8 million, and 33.5% were returned for technical reasons, worth JD31.3 million.

Statistics from the Jordan Payments and Clearing Systems Company (JoPACC), showed that the total value of checks circulating in Jordan last month reached JD3.09 billion, a 10.9% decrease compared to last April.

In May, the number of checks in circulation decreased by 24.6% to 443,000, compared to 588,000 in April.

During the past five months of 2025, he value of checks circulating in Jordan reached JD16.24 billion, with the number of checks reaching 2.46 million.

It is noteworthy that the number of checks in circulation in Jordan last year amounted to 6.51 million, with a value of JD40.3 billion.
