12-05-2025 02:25 PM

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi affirmed Jordan's support for Syria and its sovereignty in confronting all challenges threatening the Syrian path after decades of devastation, destruction, and suffering.

During a press conference following a tripartite meeting with his Turkish and Syrian counterparts in Ankara, Safadi said that Syria's stability is a pillar of regional stability, and ensuring that the Syrian people have a dignified life is a priority for us.

The three countries discussed practical steps to support Syria and build trade and investment relations that would benefit everyone, in addition to mechanisms to combat ISIS and terrorism in all its forms, as terrorism poses a threat to everyone, Safadi explained.

Safadi explained that while Syria faces challenges, it also possesses significant opportunities, noting that the Israeli aggression and its attempts to interfere in Syria's affairs are the most serious challenges, and Israel has no right to encroach on Syrian territory, or to incite tension and division.

Regarding southern Syria, Safadi stressed that the south must enjoy security and stability from the dangers of terrorism and Israeli aggression.
