Ammon News - The southern military region foiled at dawn on Monday an attempt to smuggle narcotics, a small drone and control devices by drone, on its western front and within its area of responsibility.

An official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) said: "The border guard forces in the southern military region, in coordination with the military security services and the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), were able to thwart the attempt to smuggle narcotics and a small drone and control devices by means of a drone that tried to cross the border.”

The rules of engagement were applied after the smuggling operation was detected, as it was dealt with and brought down inside Jordanian territory, and the seized items were transferred to the competent authorities, the source added.

The source stressed that the JAF are continuing to harness their various capabilities and capabilities to prevent all forms of infiltration and smuggling operations to maintain the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
