Ammon News - Saudi Arabia will host on Thursday intensive ministerial meetings bringing together the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries with their counterparts from Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Morocco, to discuss the latest regional and international developments in the region and enhance joint cooperation.
The meeting will focus mainly on strengthening strategic relation and joint work in a number of fields.
Also, the meeting will discuss several topics, the most important of which are strengthening strategic relations and joint work in many fields that contribute to achieving common interests, and continuing consultation, coordination and exchange of views on regional and international issues of common interest, in a way that supports and enhances security and stability in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Badr Abdel Aati, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad Al-Shibani, and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad Nasser Bourita will participate in the meetings.
These meetings come on the sidelines of the 163rd meeting of the Gulf Ministerial Council, which is being held under the chairmanship of Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council.
The Ministerial Council will discuss a number of reports on following up on the implementation of the decisions of the 45th GCC Supreme Council held in Kuwait in December 2024.
