Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi will participate on Monday in the preparatory ministerial meeting for the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the summit level, which will be hosted by the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt on Tuesday.

A preparatory consultative meeting for Arab foreign ministers will be held in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Monday ahead of the summit at the leaders' level.

An official at the Arab League said that the meeting will be held at 3:30 Cairo time (4:30 Jordan time), adding that the meeting will be closed to the media.

The official stressed that the goal of the summit is to reach an Arab consensus on rejecting "the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland" and to unify the Arab ranks to confront attempts to displace them, stressing the need to stand firmly against these plans that target the Palestinian cause.
