Ammon News - A preparatory consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers will be held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Monday, ahead of the leaders' summit.

An Arab League official said that the meeting will be held at 3:30 Cairo time (4:30 Jordan time), adding that the meeting will be closed to the media.

The official stressed that the goal of the summit is to reach an Arab consensus on rejecting "the displacement of Palestinians from their homeland" and to unify the Arab ranks to confront attempts to displace them, stressing the need to stand firmly against these plans that target the Palestinian cause.

Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, told Al-Mamlaka channel that the final points of the proposed plan to rebuild Gaza were discussed and will be presented during the preparatory meeting of foreign ministers before submitting them to the leaders' summit.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said that the proposed Egyptian-Arab plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip has been completed, but no one has seen it until it was presented to the leaders of the Arab countries at their extraordinary summit on Tuesday.

Abdelatty added that the summit must approve the plan first before presenting it to any foreign party.
