Ammon News - The Kingdom is set to experience fluctuating weather conditions this week, with a rise in temperatures today followed by unstable weather on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
Temperatures on Monday will be 3-4 C above their seasonal average, with mild conditions prevailing across most regions and warmer weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-altitude clouds are expected, while moderate southeasterly winds may become active at times, stirring dust in desert areas.
On Tuesday, temperatures will see a slight drop, bringing relatively cold conditions to most regions and relatively warm weather to the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northeasterly to northwesterly winds will be moderate to occasionally active, potentially reducing horizontal visibility due to dust, particularly in the east.
A state of atmospheric instability is expected to affect the country on Wednesday, leading to another slight temperature drop. The weather will be partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered showers anticipated across various regions.
Rain may be heavy at times in the eastern and southern areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. Winds will be moderate northeasterly to northwesterly, becoming active at times and raising dust, especially in desert areas.
Unstable conditions will persist on Thursday, with continued partly to mostly cloudy skies and scattered rainfall across the country. Winds will remain moderate northeasterly to northwesterly, occasionally stirring dust in desert regions.
Maximum and minimum temperatures for Monday are expected to range between 20 C and 9 C in East Amman, while West Amman will see temperatures between 18 C and 7 C. In the northern highlands, temperatures will range from 17 C to 7 C, whereas the Sharah highlands will experience a range of 18 C to 6 C. The Badia regions will be warmer, with temperatures between 24 C and 11 C, while the plains will see a range of 21 C to 9 C.
In the Jordan Valley, temperatures will be higher, reaching between 26 C and 13 C in the northern part and 28 C to 16 C in the southern part. At the Dead Sea, temperatures are expected to range between 27 C and 14 C, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see similar conditions with temperatures between 27 C and 15 C. Petra
