Ammon News - The Ministry of Social Development referred the case of an elderly man who was assaulted in a voluntary elderly care home to the Department of Family and Juvenile Protection in the Public Security Directorate (PSD).

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said that upon receiving information about an elderly person being assaulted in one of the voluntary elderly care homes, it formed an investigation committee to investigate the information received.

The Ministry stressed that it will not tolerate any negligence or assault on any of the beneficiaries of the shelters from the categories most in need of protection, including the elderly, within the framework of its supervisory role.
