Ammon News - Hebrew media claimed on Sunday, that the Israeli occupation uncovered a large network for smuggling weapons from the Jordanian border to the occupied Palestinian territories and from there to the West Bank.
The Hebrew Channel 7 said that a joint operation by the Israel's Shin Bet, or Shabak , the occupation police and the Israeli occupation army uncovered the network and arrested 10 suspects, including 9 residents of the Negev and a resident of the West Bank.
34 pistols and 4 long weapons were seized and handed over, according to the Channel 7.
According to the indictments, the "network leader," as the channel described him, paid tens of thousands of shekels to smugglers, some of whom even breached the border fence with Jordan to facilitate smuggling.
The smuggled weapons were sold, and two smuggled pistols were used to carry out the attacks last October, in which a police officer was killed.
