20-02-2025 02:53 PM

Ammon News - Jordan's national basketball team is set to face off against Saudi Arabia tomorrow evening at 7 PM in Prince Hamza Arena at Al-Hussein Youth City, in the final window of qualifiers for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup to be held in Jeddah.

The Falcons have already secured their spot in the Asian finals, regardless of tomorrow's outcome against Saudi Arabia. Jordan currently leads Group 4 with 8 points, followed by Saudi Arabia with 7 points, while Iraq sits in third with 5 points, and Palestine rounds out the group with 4 points.

Under the qualification format, teams compete in three windows (home and away), with the top two teams from each of the six groups automatically advancing to the Asia Cup finals.

Seven teams have already punched their tickets to the tournament: Jordan, host nation Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Australia, the Philippines, Japan, and New Zealand, with five direct qualification spots still up for grabs.

Jordan's hoopsters will wrap up their Asian window campaign with an away game against Iraq next Monday. Petra
